Es gibt noch ein wichtiges Detail - ab Version 5.1 funktioniert The Bat! weiter auch nach dem 30-Tage-Zeitraum. Die einzige Ausnahme ist, dass die Verbindungen für eingehende und ausgehende Nachrichten gesperrt sind. Somit hat der Anwender Zugang zum Programm und zur Nachrichtendatenbank, so dass Nachrichten und Adressbuch-Einträge gelesen, ausgedruckt, exportiert, usw. werden können.

Ich verwende Gaijins Folder Informationen.
Seltsamerweise funktioniert in der 5.1.2 die Anzeige der Nachrichtenliste nicht mehr. Egal wo ich im Ordnerbaum stehe, wird immer die Seite der Kontoeigenschaften anstatt der Nachrichtenliste angezeigt.
Hattet ihr das auch schon?

Was heißt, egal wo? Nur wenn man den Ordnernamen markiert, werden rechts die Kontoeigenschaften angezeigt. Wenn man einen Ordner markiert, werden rechts seine Nachrichten angezeigt. Oder meinst du etwas anderes?

Wie gesagt, da schaltete die Anzeige der Inhalte nicht mehr um.
Aber bisher nicht mehr nachvollziehbar.
Windows 7: mit diversen Fenster-/Desktopmanagern (wie z. B. Dexpot) zeigt das angepinnte TheBat! doppelte Icons (=zwei Fenster) in der Taskleiste.

Ich verstehe grad das Problem nicht. Die Downloads funktionieren doch.
Wird bei euch (mit dem internen HTML-Viewer) in empfangenen HTML-Mails ein Tooltip bei Links angezeigt? Bei mir nicht. Und in Text-Mails auch nicht, wenn der angezeigte Linktext zu lang ist.

TheBat! neugestartet, in den EInstellungen Hints deaktiviert, TheBat! neugestartet und Hints wieder aktiviert. Jetzt gehts, aber bei manchen Links sind die Tooltips zu kurz udn zeigen nicht den kompletten URL an.

Dear TheBat! Forum staff, I have any problem with TheBat! from version upper to v5.0.34.5.
The problem is:
when I have many messages (3000÷10000) on one directory, TheBat! is too slow to read all the message list.
The v5.0.34.5 is very speed on reading all messages listing, but all version of TheBat! upper to v5.034.5 is too slow.
What is the resolution to my problem?
I have: WindowsXP sp3 - 4 Gb RAM
If I substitute the .EXE only of the last version of TheBat! (v5.1.2) with the previus .EXE of TheBat! (v5.0.34.5) ALL IS OK AGAIN.
With this previus version .exe the reading speed is very high, like the first time.
The problem is in the TheBat!.exe only from the v5.0.34.5 upper.

as far as I know the preferred language of this forum is german. You noticed that on your system the TB! version 5.1.2 is handling large message-lists much slower compared to version 5.0.34.5. Have you tried the folder maintenance yet? Besides that unfortunately I cannot offer a solution except sticking to version 5.0.34.5 until a new BETA is offered to see if that brings any change.

im Vergleich zur aktuellen TB! Version 5.1.2 scheint auf Deinem Rechner die vorherige Version 5.0.34.5 mit großen Nachrichtenlisten erheblich schneller umzugehen. Hast Du schon die Ordner Wartung durchlaufen lassen? Was spricht ansonsten dagegen, zunächst bei der Version 5.0.34.5 zu bleiben, um zu sehen, ob eine neue BETA-Version Verbesserung bringt?

One of the new features in v5.1 is the so called Inbox Analyzer. Maybe your problem is related to this new mechanism. What about the Betas v5.0.36.5 and v5.1.0.1? The same problem with both of them or still only with v5.1.x?

Yesss. From the version upper of v5.0.34.5 (v5.0.36.5 & upper) the problem is identical problem. I tested all version intermediate (I only substitute the . EXE) and I have identical result of TheBat!. You have any suggestion for me?

The Inbox Analyzer was integrated in v5.1.0.1. AFAIU you have this problem already since v5.0.36.2. This was the next version after v5.0.34.5. Anyway, your problem can't be related to the Inbox Analyzer or any other new feature in v5.1.

RITLabs also doesn't recommend to hold more than 50 messages in the Inbox folder. 10000 in one folder are too much in any case. Try to archive or arrange them.

For first many thanks for your interest to my problem. I have effected the repair and compact folders through the Maintenance Centre, but the result is not good. Same problem. The slow reading is not in the inbox only, but in all folders. The problem is not on the folder with 300/500 messages, but is very great in the folder with upper number messages. Is not possible when this problem is not noted from other users of TheBat!.
When I substitute the .exe file with the v5.0.34.5 all problem is K.O.

Das ist ja interessant. Für mich war vor vielen, vielen Jahren gerade die Geschwindigkeit von TheBat beim Einlesen von Ordnern mit vielen Mails der Grund, Geld für ein E-Mail-Programm auszugeben. Hat Ritlabs ihre Philosophie geändert?
Der Bugtracker ist immer noch down bzw. nicht nutzbar. Mit jeder Woche steigt mein Unmut. Wie kann Ritlabs da erwarten, dass man Geld für ein Upgrade ausgibt, obwohl man nicht einmal Fehler kommunizieren kann?
