The Bat! 9.2.5 MSI (BETA)

    This release is dedicated to fixes, so here's the changes summary:

    What's new in The Bat! v9.2.5 since v9.2.3 released on September 7, 2020?

    [*] Passwords are hidden from protocol trace logs

    [*] Quick Search in address book works as filter on non-LDAP books

    [-] Keyboard shortcuts were not working in the Address Book window

    [-] HTML Editor: "List index out of bounds" error was possible when a single font was used for entire document

    [-] Alt+Up/Down arrows were not working for HTML viewer

    [-] Sorting Office: Filtering by TO header field was looking in the CC as well

    [-] "Finish" instead of "Next" in the Create New Account wizard when "POP or IMAP" was selected

    [-] AV Error when closing a message list tab

    [-] First tag from the tag list could not be used

    [-] (#002005) Search for empty text in web-like mode with attachments returned no results

    [-] Voyager: new version information was used from The Bat! data

    [-] Voyager: "Abstract error" on the "Help | Technical Support" menu command

    [-] Insert Quick Template command was not working in Quick Reply

    [-] Window could grab input focus while loading HTML message while being inactive

    Hat den Titel des Themas von „The Bat! v9.2.5 MSI (BETA)“ zu „The Bat! 9.2.5 MSI (BETA)“ geändert.

    Dass Restores aus den TBK-Sicherungen fehlschlagen, das geht nun mal gar nicht !1!!11!!

    Dass die Wiederherstellung einer TBK-Sicherung nicht geht, ist natürlich ein No-Go. Ich habe jetzt allerdings extra einen Test gemacht und konnte eine mit v7.4 x86 unter Win7 erstellte TBK in v9,2.5 x64 unter Win10 fehlerfrei wiederherstellen. Ich kann daher nicht bestätigen, dass es grundsätzlich nicht geht. Vielmehr scheinen das Einzelfälle zu sein.

    Wie schon mal neulich im Thread "Korrupte Datensicherung" erklärt, kann es sehr wohl sein, dass bereits die TBK defekt war. Das wiederum kam aber auch früher sehr oft vor (vgl. viele Threads dazu hier im Forum) und hat daher nichts mit v9 zu tun. Daher empfiehlt es sich, vor der Sicherung die Ordnerwartung mit der Reparaturoption durchzuführen.
